For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse
-Romans 1:20

When the water dries up, You remain.

Through the pain and the sorrows, it’s You who stays the same.

When cracks cover the pavement, You seal them with Your mercy.

During my darkest hours, Your light shines without fail.

I lift my arms in praise to you Lord, as a child asking to be embraced by her father.

You will deliver me from all evil, and Your love surpasses all boundaries.

To understand the salvation that was bought for us, is unfathomable.

Yet we stay faithful forever, knowing You will come back to rescue us.

Your greatness overshadows all doubt.

And Your beauty radiates through all galaxies.

Your still small voice whispers across my skin like the wind.

But speaks volumes to my heart.

This poem I write is for your glory alone.

With Your presence near me, I can’t wait to come home.

BEFORE.
Before, my heart pounded to the beat of a drum.
Happiness was only a house built on sand.
Holding grudges was normal.
Retreating, and hiding from problems was expected.
“Dying for” was a statement I could never match an image to.
Life was just life, or in my eyes it was the game of life.
In the game of life I was gasping for air.
Competition, greed, and power were all that ever entered my mind.
Never once did I contemplate a higher power.
Now, my heart flutters at the sound of His name.
Joyfulness is now the house built on rock.
Forgiveness is a gift, that was paid for us.
Being vulnerable to the only person who truly understands, is a relief.
“Dying for” represents what my savior did for us.
The life I live is to be for His glory alone.
Joyfulness, grace, forgiveness, and growing closer in my relationship with Him is what always enters my mind.
I have a fire burning brightly inside my heart for the one I love, Jesus Christ my savior.

GOD IS
A lion.
A mountain.
Everything mighty and powerful.
GOD IS
My faith.
My life.
My strong tower.
GOD IS
Light.
The roots of a tree.
A voice in the wind.
GOD IS
Who I will always go to.
Who I will always worship.
GOD IS
My rock.
My foundation.
The light house on a stormy sea.
GOD IS
Home.
Love.
My father.
